Martin Parr with 'Badminton Horse Trials, Gloucestershire'
Limited collector's edition with a c-type print.
The long-reigning godfather of British documentary photography, Martin Parr, has gained critical and popular recognition as a pioneer of colour photography. An insightful commentator on the idiosyncrasies of British public and domestic life, Parr often provokes debate with his candid, unflinching viewpoint. A member of Magnum Photos since 1984, Parr has published over twenty books and become one of Britain's best-loved photographers. Described as 'monumental' by The Evening Standard, this is the first retrospective publication covering Parr's entire career to date.
The publication also includes a 12 x 16 inch c-type print of Parr's 'Badminton Horse Trials, Gloucestershire' (1988), from his seminal series The Cost of Living. The photograph is typical of Parr's wry humour and disregard for compositional norms.
