Collector's edition

This SUMO-sized Collector's edition celebrates 60 years of renowned photographer, David Bailey's career. Beginning in the 1950s, the book traces the story of Bailey's portraiture through his era defining, dynamic shots of the swinging sixties through to the present day. Portraits of over 300 subjects are testament to Bailey's skill and unwavering approach to portraiture. Bailey's striking black and white portraits are at once confrontational and revealing, often presenting the sitter in a way they have not been seen before.

His varied subjects, who are brought together in this edition, include Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, Kate Moss, Nelson Mandela, Francis Bacon, Zaha Hadid, the Rolling Stones, Jack Nicholson, Brigitte Bardot, Margaret Thatcher and many more. The book features a foreword written by Bailey's friend Damien Hirst, and this edition comes with a specially designed book stand, created by Marc Newson. The Collector's edition comes with 4 book jackets of some of Bailey's most celebrated portraits, including Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, John Lennon and Paul McCartney and Jean Shrimpton.
